about

Lang Menuet.

This beautiful melody comes from the Island of Falster in Southern Denmark. The music and dance was written down in 1917 by a lady called Karen Suder and collected by local musician Rasmus Toxværd. Kristian fell in love with this tune many years ago, when he heard it played by the great fiddler Karin Wallin in Helsingborg, Skåne, Sweden. This tune is a small link back to our previous album 'Firetour' (which exclusively consisted of tunes from the two Danish Islands Lolland and Falster). This on his dedicated to our great friends Gerd and Frede Nielsen!
